Upon arriving it was tucked away in downtown Houston. Very small space for such amazing people to be hidden away. First time hearing about this place and wanted to try their food. I ordered the Bourbon Street Pasta. I will admit that it did taste similar to Mac n cheese only because it did look like it had that cheese sauce on it, everything though was absolutely delicious.I also had the Seafood Gumbo, which I love gumbo... the shrimp were soggy, and I couldn't tell if I had of the other ingredients. Not sure how I felt about the emptiness of the crab claw meat. The roux for the gumbo was great.Overall, it was a good spot to check out.

Yooooooo. If you looking for that New Orleans authentic taste in the downtown area do not...... I repeat do not pass this place by. I got the jambalaya (chicken and sausage) and beignets. $17. Can't miss. Another good bang for ya buck.

A coworker introduced me to this place. I got the oxtail plate which is every Friday, it was at a great price of 18.00 and they give you a large portion. The 2 sides that I got were Mac and cheese and cabbage. The Mac was with cheese sauce vs baked but it was good, I loved the flavor of the cabbage. The oxtails and rice were good, I slow cook my oxtails to super tender but that’s my personal preference, theirs were tender but still I would have cooked them slower and lower but trust me, they were still good. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is nice, staff are friendly and next time I’ll try the pork chops! I will be back!!!

There is not enough talk about this place!!!! Food is amazing, service is quick even with food made to order and the owner Reed is so friendly. Tip: put honey on those beignets!!! I have no photo of the beignets because they are GONE!!!

Had the chicken and sausage gumbo. right amount of spice, reasonable prices, will be back.

Beignets are to die for I still order them online just because they taste just like back home so good I love them melt in your mouth even when they are not warm ! The pasta is great wings crunchy and crispy the fish crispy and good paired with the grits creamy and buttery to perfection not too much oil or butter I will always come back !

the first thing I love about it is the owner his self was there. he went above and beyond to make sure me and my husband was satisfied. he did not just sit there bark order. he was interacting with his customers and his employees. turn no one down no matter what. he went beyond being a boss. he also has an understanding as a customer in need. I think with my own eyes help someone with me no questions asked. it is a very clean , relaxing and organized restaurant. I give this restaurant, the employees and owner 7 ⭐⭐⭐ plus. BEST DOWNTOWN PLACE TO GO

Gumbo, fried shrimp poboy,& Beignets were phenomenal. Staff are very friendly and professional, taste just like Louisiana cooking and will be my go to every time I’m in Houston.
